The “One Chicago” universe is losing one of its major players. It was recently announced that Jesse Spencer, the actor who plays Captain Matthew Casey on “Chicago Fire,” will be leaving the show after ten seasons (via USA Today).

On leaving, Spencer shared, “It was a difficult decision because I loved the show from the beginning,” he continued, “But there are other things I want to do in the future and there are some family members.” family that I need to do. Take care. And 18 years is a long time, it’s been a long road.”
